TEHRAN (Tasnim) Four Iranians have been chosen among the Best of the Best Taekwondo 2015, according to mundotaekwondo.com.
After various analysis and interviews made to important personalities of this ART-SPORT, part of the international elite, the selected ones made a difference at World Championships, Grand Prix or World Cup, and were the ones who resulted outstanding at their roles.
Mehdi Khodabakhshi was selected as the Best Male Athlete 2015. He claimed a gold medal in the mens minus 80-kilogram weight class at the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Grand Prix in England. He defeated British taekwondo athlete Aaron Arthur Cook 13-11.
The Best Male Fight of the Year went to a contest between Irans minus 68-kilogram weight division Abolfazl Yaghoubi Jouybari and Servet Tazegul from Turkey in the Grand Prix Manchester.
The Best Male Progress Athlete to Rio 2016 award went to Irans 19-year-old taekwondo practitioner Farzan Ashourzadeh Fallah and Mexicos Saul Gutierrez.
And finally, Irans Bijan Moghanlou won the Best Male Coach of the Year award.
