Fish and Cat to take part in 3 international festivals

Acclaimed Iranian cinematic creation Fish and Cat directed by Shahram Mokri is slated to compete at the three international festivals.
Mokris feature film is to represent Iranian cinema at the 24th Oslo International Film Festival in Norway.

The film is scheduled to be screened as one of the 15 main film titles at the Norwegian festival that will be held in November.

The fourth edition of Iranian Film Festival Australia (IFFA) 2014 will also host Fish and Cat.

The film has been selected to compete at the sixth edition of Tajikistan's top film event, Didor International Film Festival, which will be held in the next few days.

The 127-minute movie depicts the story of a group of university students who face different problems during their trip to the north of Iran.

Produced by Kanoon Iran Novin, Fish and Cat has been participated in many international events so far.

Shot in one continuous sequence, the psychodrama swept two top awards at the 28th Fribourg International Film Festival held in Switzerland.

The film received the FIPRESCI Jury (International Federation of the Cinematic Press) as well as the Youth Jury Award.

The movie won the Special Orizzonti Award for Innovative Content at the 70th edition of Venice International Film Festival.

Mokris horror drama beat seven other features and took Special Jury Award and the Audience Award at the 2014 edition of Bled International Film Festival (BFF) in Slovenia.

Many critics believe that Mokris screen representation is an innovative and technically impressive film.
