The Iran Project - The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, has reaffirmed Iraq's strong commitment to fully implementing its security agreement with Iran.
Speaking to media officials in Baghdad, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of adhering to the provisions of the agreement.
As the deadline for the agreement approaches, Al-Sudani addressed the issue of Kurdish anti-revolutionary groups that have not yet disarmed or been expelled from Iraq.
He acknowledged Iran's concerns about terrorist activities in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and highlighted Iraq's efforts to address these concerns.
This includes investing over $200 million and deploying more than 3,000 National Army troops along the borders with Iran and the Kurdistan region.
Al-Sudani acknowledged the complexity of the situation but reiterated Iraq's commitment to fulfilling its obligations within the specified timeline.
