Iran's Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian and the Qatari ambassador to Iran Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri in a meeting on Wednesday stressed the development and strengthening of bilateral relations in various fields.
Mehrabian met and held talks with Al Hajri here in Tehran on Wednesday.
Congratulating the Qatari government on the occasion of National Day, Mehrabian said that the meetings of the heads of the two states are a clear example of the existing will between the two sides to enhance mutual ties.
Stressing the need to further develop and strengthen the relations between the two sides in the political, economic, and cultural arenas, he expressed hope that by relying on common capacities and actively utilizing the existing capabilities of the Government of Qatar, the two sides can take further steps in the interests of the two peoples.
Pointing to the deep-rooted cooperation between the two countries, Mehrabian underlined holding the eighth joint commission on economic cooperation between Iran and Qatar in Doha provided a better opportunity to bring cooperation into the new and strategic arena with more serious decisions.
It is important to implement the agreement between the two countries so as to enter the phase of comprehensive cooperation and participation in all economic areas, including energy, transportation, customs, standards, banks, agriculture, and industry to advance the level of cooperation, he underscored.
