IRNA – Iran is among top five producers of destroyers and vessels in the world and Fateh submarine will join the Navy’s fleet soon, said deputy minister of defense and logistics.

Addressing daylong conference themed ‘Explaining Doctrine of Resistance in University of Tabriz’ on Tuesday, Brigadier General Amir Rastegari added that today, Defense Ministry is capable of producing a plethora of military equipment.

Rastegari, also head of Iran’s Sea Industries Organization, said, “It is an honor for the armed forces that all defense equipment are produced inside the country.”

Today, all doctrines and policies are focused on promoting capabilities in the defense sector, he said.

“We have reached self-sufficiency in producing all types of destroyers and flying and radar-evading boats,” he said, noting that Defense Ministry is after innovation in promoting the country’s industrial and scientific capabilities.
