Tehran, Aug 16, IRNA � First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday that tourism and handicrafts are the factors to create jobs.


Jahangiri made the remarks in a meeting of the High Council of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization that expansion of tourism is one of the main programs of the government.

He said the Government of Hope and Prudence has had exceptional and unique achievements in the cultural heritage sector over the past three years and that five cultural heritage were put on the UNESCO list as world heritage.

Meanwhile, Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Masoud Soltanifar said that since the Government of Hope and Prudence has taken office, four historical-cultural items were repatriated which is unprecedented.

Soltanifar said that incoming tourists have made about 28 percent growth in the past three years.
