ISNA quoted Iran's Guardian Council Spokesman Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei as saying after Guardian Council analysis, the results of the 9th round of parliamentary elections in the areas of "Damavand and Firuzkuh" and "Tonekabon, Ramsar, and Abbas Abad" were canceled.
In the 9th parliamentary elections, former president Mohammad Khatami, the head of the reformists, casted his ballot in the village of Vadan, near the city of Damavand.
Khatami's presence at the 9th parliamentary elections polls was faced with much criticism from reformists, but former president, in response to criticisms, stated that the reason why he participated in the elections was his belief in reform, BBC Persian reported.
