Iranian woman cyclist wins Iran
The Iran Project - Iranian female cyclist Faranak Partoazar has won a bronze medal at the 2023 Asian cycling games to register a historic record and carve her name on Irans cycling history.

She won a bronze medal at the Cycling Mountain Bike with a time of 1:42:44 hours at the CSC Mountain Bike Course on Monday.

Partoazars medal is the first one gained by a female cyclist in Iranian history; it is also the fourth medal awarded to Iranian athletes in the Hangzhou games.

Chinese athletes Li Hongfeng (1:30:59) and Ma Caixia (1:36:45) won gold and silver medals, respectively.

With more than 12,000 competitors from 45 nations and territories, the Asian Games has more participants than the Olympics.

The 19th Asian Games is being held in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8.
