The Iran Project - The Iranian Intelligence Ministry has announced the foiling of a major terrorist plot in Tehran, with the arrest of 28 operatives affiliated with the Daesh Takfiri group.

The ministry stated that the plot involved carrying out 30 simultaneous bomb attacks in densely populated areas of the capital Tehran.

The arrested individuals are said to have links with Takfiri groups in Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The ministry highlighted that the modus operandi used by the terrorists closely resembled that of the Israeli regime.

The seized equipment included explosives, ready bombs, explosive primers, handguns, bullets, smart and satellite communication devices, military outfits, and suicide vests.

The ministry revealed that the timing of the plot was intended to coincide with the anniversary of last year's riots in Iran.

The intelligence community in Iran has accused several countries, including the United States and Britain, of using their spy and propaganda apparatuses to instigate the violent riots.
