Iran's homegrown air defense system can hit dozen targets at once

Iran
The Iran Project - Iran's Deputy Defense Minister for Research and Industrial Affairs has announced that the country's domestically-developed Tactical Sayyad (Hunter) air defense system is capable of intercepting multiple aerial targets at a distance of over 100 kilometers.

Afshin Naderi-Sharif highlighted that the Tactical Sayyad system has short-range self-protection capabilities and is equipped with a self-protection system that makes it immune to low-altitude threats.

He also noted that the system has greater mobility as its radars and missile launchers are integrated into a single vehicle.

In addition, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy is set to receive new variants of the Qadir and Fateh submarines, which have been designed and manufactured by the Marine Industries Organization of the Iranian Ministry of Defense.

The Ghadir submarine is medium-sized and capable of launching cruise missiles, while the Fateh submarine is considered more advanced and can navigate underwater for at least 35 days.

Iranian officials have emphasized that the country's military capabilities are solely for defensive purposes and will not be subject to negotiations.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has repeatedly called for efforts to maintain and boost Irans defense capabilities.
