Iran, Saudi Arabia officials meet in Brazil
Iran's Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs met with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister in Brazil.


Iran's VP for Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Hosseini who is in Brazil to attend the inauguration ceremony of Brazilian President Lula Da Silva met Saudi Arabian FM Faisal Bin Farhan.

Iran and Saudi Arabia have had five rounds of talks in Iraq, and both Tehran and Riyadh have expressed their desire to reestablish diplomatic relations.

Previously,In an Arabic tweet on Wednesday, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein AmirAbdollahian stated: "I participated in the Baghdad 2 conference in Jordan to emphasize our support for Iraq. On the sidelines of the meeting, an opportunity was also provided for a friendly conversation with some of my counterparts, including the foreign ministers of Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi minister informed me of his country's readiness to continue dialogue with Iran."
