She urged relevant officials to pay more attention to the rural architecture of Uraman and traditional ceremonies performed by local people. Maleki continued that various measures could be undertaken to train local people and prompt them to contribute to the preservation of their historical monuments. «The significant potentials of the region were identified by the UNESCO inspectors», she said, pointing out that the necessary studies were carried out on the archeology, anthropology, architecture, history, civilization and geography of Uraman.

The most important source used by foreign tourists to choose a travel destination is the UNESCO website. It causes many tourists to visit Uraman and witness the development of the region. Maleki said that building hotels, accommodations and restaurants in the region and creating medical treatment facilities are among the other objectives for which a number of short- and long-term plans should be drawn up. Stretched over 400,000 hectares, the remote and mountainous landscape of Huraman or Uraman bears testimony to the traditional culture of the Hawrami people, an agropastoral Kurdish tribe that has inhabited the region since about 3,000 BCE.
