Iranian, Cuban FMs discuss ties, coronavirus battle

Tasnim Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Cuban counterpart Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla discussed ways to maintain and expand trade ties amid the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Zarif and Parrilla held a telephone conversation on Thursday evening.

The two senior diplomats talked about the latest developments in the bilateral relations between Tehran and Havana, the unilateral and illegal sanctions that the US has imposed on the independent nations.

They also conferred on the scientific and medical cooperation between Iran and Cuba, particularly in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

Iran has already expressed readiness to share its experiences in coping with the contagious disease withall states.

Over 75,000 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease in Iran and have been discharged from the hospital.
