Iran’s Zarif hails meetings in Kuala Lumpur as ‘Fruitful’

Tasnim – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif praised his Wednesday meetings with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad in Kuala Lumpur as “fruitful”.

“Good to be in Kuala Lumpur with Pres. @HassanRouhani to attend #KLSummit2019,” Zarif said on his Twitter account on Wednesday evening.

“Held fruitful mtgs with King Abdullah and PM Mahathir Bin Mohamad (@chedetofficial) on bilateral relations, regional affairs, and the state of the Islamic world; Also a warm get together w/ Iranians,” he added in his tweet.

The Iranian president and his accompanying delegation, including Zarif, have made the visit to Malaysia to attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019, attended by around 250 leaders, politicians, and thinkers from 52 countries.

After attending the KL Summit, Rouhani will pay a visit to Japan at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
