ISNA Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan will travel to Tehran in the coming days to meet with Iranian officials.

Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan will probably travel to Tehran on Wednesday to hold talks with a number of Iranian Foreign Ministrys officials in a continuation of negotiations between the two countries such as Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abes visit to Tehran and the meeting between Abe and Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The visit will reportedly take place in line with Japans efforts to cease tensions in the region as well as relations between Iran and the US.

Welcoming Japans efforts to cease tensions in the region, Iranian officials stress that US measures such as its withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and imposing maximum sanctions against Iran have led to intensify tensions in the relations between the two countries.
