Iraq’s PMF helping Iran in flood-hit areas: Senior MP

IRNA – Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh said on Saturday that the presence of Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iran is merely meant to help the Iranian government in flood-hit areas.

The senior lawmaker reiterated that the PMF’s presence in Iran is in line with the country’s rules and regulations.

Iran and Iraq have signed a deal for exchange of humanitarian assistance and the presence of Iraq’s PMF is in line with such policy and they are busy with rendering services to flood-stricken people in Iran, Fallahatpisheh said.
