IRNA – Azerbaijan Republic in 2018 was declared the eighth largest partner of the Islamic Republic of Iran in non-oil fields.
The volume of non-oil trade between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran in April-December 2018 was 702,600 tons, equivalent to $326.91 million, news websites reports announced on Tuesday.
According to the report, the volume of non-oil trade between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan increased by 32.7% in terms of weight and 35.49% in terms of dollar value compared to a year ago.
During the period, Iran has exported to the Republic of Azerbaijan natural gas, liquids, metals and pipes.
Iran’s imports from the Republic of Azerbaijan during this period also amounted to 36,255 tons of cargo worth 13,650,000 dollars, an increase of 15.5 percent in weight and 16.85 percent in value in comparison to the same period of the previous year. The main products imported from Azerbaijan in the months of April to December this year were carbon-iron, livestock and barley.
