Russia after 30% rise in trade with Iran

IRNA Russia is trying to increase trade with Iran by 30 percent in a three-year period, said the head of the State Duma Committee on Transport and Construction.

To expand cooperation, we started with making railways, said Yevgeny Moskvichev, according to Interfax.

He said that Moscow has made an agreement with Baku to do trade with Iran via Azerbaijan, which is going to increase by 30 percent from 2019 to 2021.

'Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran created a joint working group on solution of the issues of further development of transportations between the countries and also a relevant system of monitoring,' Azertac wrote on Monday.

'The issue was focused on within the Transport Week-2018 which took place in Moscow and discussed issues of transportation of goods between Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation said.'

The three countries also discussed goods transportation from India to Iran and Russia.
