Iranian, Pakistani universities sign MoU to promote cooperation

IRNA - Payame Noor University of Iran and Pakistans University of Punjab have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation especially in the field of science and technology.


The MoU was signed during a visit made by President of Payame Noor University Mohammad Reza Zamani to Pakistan.

Zamani and Vice Chancellor of University of Punjab University Niaz Ahmad Akhtar signed the MoU at a special ceremony in Lahore.

According to the MoU, Both the universities would collaborate in the field of scientific publications and hold educational courses.

Both universities would also facilitate the joint cooperation between the faculty members of the two universities in the field of Persian Language and Literature and joint publications of the books.

They would offer scholarships to the students to study in Iran and Pakistan and provide facilities to exchange professors and students. Both the universities would also launch chairs related to Iranian studies and Persian Language and Literature.

On the occasion, Professor Mohammad Reza Zamani visited different departments of University of Punjab. He said there is need of enhancing cooperation between Payame Noor University and other universities of the world.

Vice Chancellor of University of Punjab Niaz Ahmad Akhtar welcomed the cooperation between Payame Noor University and University of Punjab especially in the field of science and technology.

He vowed that cooperation between the two universities would be further enhanced.
