In a speech in Tehran on Tuesday, Brigadier General Hatami described the Army as a popular and Islamic force and said today, it is very powerful in the eyes of friends and enemies.
Nobody allows themselves to have a greedy eye on the areas protected by it (the Army), he said, adding, However, those who are friends with the Iranian people are not afraid of the Army.
Today, the army is in the best condition, and its commanders are following the guidelines set by Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the defense minister said.
He further emphasized that the Army is self- sufficient in training its forces and providing them with needed equipment and information.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Irans defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
Back in February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Irans defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the countrys missile program.
Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it, Ayatollah Khamenei said on February 18.
