20 foreign currency dealers arrested in Iran

Azer NewsAround 20 foreign currency dealers have been arrested in Iran, Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari-Dolatabadi said.

He said that with the collaboration of the Central Bank, the Tehran Prosecutor, the Ministry of the Interior and the police, the purchase and sale of foreign currency on roads were banned, Fars news agency reported.

“Last day 20 foreign currency dealers were arrested,” he said.

“Buying and selling currency on roads is prohibited and considered a crime, and if anyone wants to buy and sell currency, they must go to the official currency exchange,” said Dolatabadi.
