IRNA � Iranian lawmakers are holding a closed session here on Sunday to discuss the current economic situation which has caused problems for people�s livelihood.


The session is held after parliamentarian Fardin Farmand held a sit-in at Majlis last Wednesday in protest at the bad economic conditions.

No representative from Iran�s government is present in the today's Majlis session.

At the beginning, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani talked about the country�s current economic conditions and the ways to overcome problems.

In recent months, Iran has been witnessing fluctuations in prices and foreign exchange rate.
