MNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held separate meetings with Secretary General of ASEAN Lim Jock Hoi and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini, discussing regional and international issues.
Top Iranian diplomat, who is in Singapore to attend Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit, had a meeting with Lim Jock Hoi, the Secretary General of the international body.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance ties, especially after signing the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) by Iran, which happened on Thursday.
Zarif also had a separate meeting this afternoon with Mogherini where the two officials discussed various issues, including the status of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and ways to saving the pact and safeguarding Iran’s interests after US’ illegal withdrawal from it.
The head of Iranian diplomacy has earlier held separate meetings with his counterparts from China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Turkey, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, Philippine, Norway and Malaysia and discussed bilateral ties as well as international issues.
