Iran appoints female foreign minister assistant

IRNA – A woman has been appointed as the assistant to Iran’s foreign minister, the ministry said.

Afsaneh Nadipoor has been appointed as the assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif in citizens’ rights affairs.

Beofore her new post, Nadipoor was Iran’s human rights office deputy. She had also been in diplomatic posts in Iran’s embassies in Tokyo and the Hague (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, OPCW).
