IRNA – Vice-President and Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi visited Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) and held talks with its directors and experts on Wednesday.
Salehi is in Oslo at invitation of Norwegian officials to take part in Oslo Forum.
During his visit to Norway, Head of the NRPA Ole Harbitz explained duties and responsibilities of the center and shared Norway’s experiences in facing nuclear incidents in other countries with Iranian delegation.
During the meeting, also cooperation of the center to transfer 60 tons of uranium from Kazakhstan to Iran was explained and appreciated.
Salehi explained Iran’s activities in the field of nuclear safety after implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), especially relevant the cooperation with the European Union and proposed establishment of relations between both countries’ nuclear safety centers and deepening mutual cooperation in this relation.
