Qatar hails Iran’s support during Persian Gulf crisis

IRNA – Qatari Emir praised the Islamic Republic support for Doha during the Persian Gulf crisis in which the country was besieged by the Saudi Arabia and its allies.

‘We are committed to further develop and reinforce our relations with Iran in all fields,’ the Qatari Emir SheikhTamim bin Hamad Al Thani said during a phone conversation with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Monday.

SheikhTamim emphasized using dialogue to resolve problems in the region and said that no country should impose its views on other nations in the region.

The Qatari Emir went on to express support for the Palestinian people and their resistance.

Qatar will continue its policy of supporting Palestinians, he said.

He also congratulated the Iranian football team for its success in 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia wishing further success for the team which he said is in a difficult group.
