JCPOA joint commission experts meeting to be held Thursday

IRNA An expert meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Joint Commission is scheduled to be held at the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

The event will take place with participation of expert delegations from Iran and P4+1 at the Political and International Studies Department of Iran Foreign Ministry, according to IRNA reporter.

The previous round of the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting was held after US unilateral withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal in Vienna on May 25.

The event was aimed at presenting guarantees for preserving Iran economic interests.

Secretary General of European External Action Service Helga Schmid earlier in a statement said that members of the JCPOA reiterated their commitment to implement nuclear deal in good faith in a full, regular and effective manner.

Based on the statement, members of the JCPOA described lifting of nuclear-related sanctions in a bid to normalize economic and trade ties with Iran as integral part of the nuclear deal.

Speaking to reporters after Vienna meeting, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said given the European countries commitment to meet Iran's demands, he was now more confident about preserving Iran nuclear deal.
