IRNA � US disrespected the international rules and regulations by imposing sanctions upon top Iranian banking official, Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced in a statement.


In its statement released on Sunday, CBI said that the US Treasury measure to impose sanctions against Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seif is an abnormal behavior and unprofessional.

The US move against CBI chief showed that the US officials have no respect for the international norms, the CBI statement added.

US President Donald Trump announced last Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
