Sputnik - On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced the United States would no longer remain part of the JCPOA, a deal Iran signed with the P5+1 and EU in 2015 which requires Tehran to maintain a peaceful nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.




China regrets the US decision towithdraw fromthe Iran nuclear deal and will advocate full compliance withthe agreement, Chinese Foreign Ministry said ina statement.

China will continue trade, economic cooperation withIran withoutviolating its international commitments, according tothe ministry.

Beijing calls onall relevant parties toassume a responsible attitude, foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang stated.

In response tothe US move, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said onTuesday that Tehran was not going towithdraw fromtheJCPOA, and that the agreement remained betweenIran and the five remaining participants ofthe deal.

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed outthat the US decision sharply violated international law.

Earlier, The foreign ministers ofGermany, the United Kingdom and France have issued a joint statement saying their countries will stay inthe JCPOA even if the United States pulls outof it.

The JCPOA was signed byIran withthe United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom and France the five permanent members ofthe UN Security Council plus Germany and the European Union inVienna onJuly 14, 2015.
