Yemeni wedding targeted by Saudi jets in Hajjah province



Press TV - A wedding ceremony in Yemen's has been targeted by Saudi airstrikes as the kingdom continues with its relentless war on the impoverished country.

According to Yemen's Arabic-languageal-Masirahtelevision network on Sunday, dozens of people were killed in the airstrikes which took place in the country's Hajjah province.

The Saudi jets also carried out raids on ambulances trying to transport the wounded from the attack to local hospitals.

Earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif aid that Saudi Arabia has not been able to bring the people of Yemen to their knees even with the use of"beautiful US weapons."



The Saudi aggression was launched in March 2015 in support of Yemens former Riyadh-friendly government of president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi and against the countrys Houthi Ansarullah movement, which has been running state affairs in the absence of an effective administration.

The offensive has, however, achieved neither of its goals despite the spending of billions of petrodollars and the enlisting of Saudi Arabia's regional and Western allies.

TheYemeni Ministry of Human Rightsannounced in astatementon March 25 that the Saudi-led war had left 600,000 civilians dead and injured since March 2015.
