IRNA � Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday underlined importance of the elevation of the country's tourism industry.

'Presence of foreign tourists can also make the people of different countries in the world more acquainted with our people's culture and this country's monuments,' the President told a gathering of people in Bandar Abbas located in the southern province of Hormuzgan.

The Iranian President referred to the role of tourism industry in booming the country's economy and said that tourism has a high importance in creating jobs.
