Iran earns $230m from knowledge-based technology exports: Minister

IRNA Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mansour Gholami said on Monday that Irans incomes from exporting knowledge-based technologies stood at $230 million this year (to end on March 21).


Talking to reporters on the sidelines of inaugural ceremony of several academic projects in Ahvaz, Khuzestan province, he added that knowledge-based companies and science and technology parks have had a good turnover in selling new technologies.

The minister also said that most of Iranian universities are interested in forging interaction with international universities, as they boast of scientific capacity to enter into discussions with their counterparts.

Currently, over 150 joint research projects are being conducted with other countries, he said.
