IRNA – Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is to visit Tehran on Wednesday to hold talks with Iranian officials.
Çavuşoğlu is scheduled to hold meetings with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Bilateral issues and regional developments are among topics to be discussed by both sides.
Iran, Turkey and Russia have played an important role in bringing back peace to Syria during Astana talks.
However, the recent US policies in Syria have threatened peace in the country.
Preserving territorial integrity and respecting national sovereignty of Syria is Iran’s principled policy.
