Asian countries value Iran's nuclear deal: ICAPP head

IRNA - The founding Chairman of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Jose de Venecia said the body values Iran's nuclear deal and the role it plays in global peace.

Reaching peace in the world in general as well as in the Arab countries and the Persian Gulf region requires Iran's support, he said at the Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Standing Committee in Tehran.

Commenting on Iran's nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said it has been announced several times since the accomplishment of the nuclear negotiations that Iran has been committed to the deal, and persistence in implementation of the deal is important to all Asian countries.

All the political parties in today's session announce their support for Iran's leader and its political management in sustaining the deal, the official said.

Referring to Iran's role as a link among Asian parties, he said the political parties' problems can be resolved through cooperation.

The 29th Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Standing Committee, and the 2nd Special Conference on the Silk Road opened in Iran International Conference Center, Tehran, on Friday.

The ICAPP is hosted by Iran's Islamic Coalition Party, and will be attended by some 100 leaders, secretary generals and senior officials of 40 parties and political organizations from 25 Asian countries, as well as officials from some regional and international organizations.
