Iran’s moderate quake leaves no loss of life: Governor

IRNA – Governor of Koubanan, Kerman province, said earthquake in the city had no victims with only six wounded in the 5.2-mabnitude earthquake which jolted the city late on Thursday.

Mohammad Reza Mahdlou told IRNA late on Thursday that old buildings have sustained damages in the tremor.

Facilities to provide relief aid to those affected are ready across the city, he said, as crisis headquarters have been set up to counter any possible incidents.

The quake also knocked down several power lines in the area and seven after-shakes occurred in the city, located 180 kilometers from the center of Kerman province.
