Ghasemi dismisses claims about Iranians insulted in Serbia

MNA The Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bahram Ghasemi, dismissed the claims that the Iranians visiting Belgrade are treated badly by Serbian police.


If there are any peace of evident proving insulting behavior toward Iranian citizens in Belgrade Airport, we call Iranians to submit them to us, said Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the Seminar on Terrorism, Extremism, and Regional Security in the Western Asia.

Assuredly we are not indifferent to how Iranians are treated in other countries or their destiny, underlined the Iranian diplomat.

The Iranian diplomat recounted that after agreement between Iran and Serbia, to waiver visa for the tourists of the two countries visiting the other country, many people who are not Iranian citizens want to abuse the opportunity and seek refuge in European countries.

Mr. Ghasemi demised that after the visa waiver policy practiced by Iran and Serbia, thorough searches are conducted in the airports of Iran and Serbia. He described the claims about taking the clothes off the visitors as gossips impossible to be true.
