IRNA - Iran is standing by Syria in all fields such as fighting terrorism, Iran Supreme Leader's senior advisor Ali Akbar Velayati said.


Velayati made the remarks Monday in a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem.

Velayati expressed congratulations over the recent victories of the Syrian Army against terrorist group Daesh in eastern Syria and the failure of the destructive plans designed by US, Zionist Regimes and their allies.

Meanwhile, Muallem presented a report of Syria's political and military victories especially in full liberating of Deir ez-Zor city, eastern Syria.

'Syria will continue fighting against terrorism till the end of this sinister phenomenon and return of peace and stability throughout the country,' he added.

He also appreciated Iran's aids and supports of Syria.

During the meeting both sides underlined reinforcing coordinations between the two countries to boost the victories of the Axis of Resistance against terrorists and their allies.
