Tehran to follow Daesh attack on Iranian cleric in Mecca

IRNA – A senior Iranian official said here that Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization would pursue the case of Takfiri terrorists’ attack on an Iranian cleric in Mecca during Hajj congregation, it was reported Thursday evening.

Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Hamid Mohammadi said Tehran attaches great importance to the security of the Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammadi stressed that the Iranian officials would follow up the case seriously through the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj.

He said so far the Saudi police have arrested three individuals related to the recent terrorist attack in Mecca, adding that the investigation is still underway.

Mohammadi said the Iranian Cleric Hossein Esmaeili was wounded in Daesh terrorist attack, adding that he has been admitted in the hospital and would be discharge soon.
