35% rise in Iran exports to UAE

Financial Tribune- Iran exported $6.6 billion worth of goods to the UAE in the last fiscal year that ended March 20, 2017, registering a 35% increase compared with the year before, according to the Arabic-African Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran. The main exported commodities during the period included light oil, mineral oil, tar, gasoline, pistachio, saffron, trucks, iron and steel products, lead and jewelry.

This is while the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration puts last year's exports to the UAE at over $7.43 billion. According to IRICA, the UAE was Irans second biggest non-oil export destination, following China, in the last Iranian year, accounting for 17% of all Iranian exports. Iranian non-oil exports to the UAE have seen an overall uptrend since its low of $1.72 billion worth of 3,414 tons of commodities shipped in the fiscal 2006-7.
