Major Iran oil firms to attend 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul

Shana – Major Iran oil companies are to show up at 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul.

The event is being held at a time Iran is striving to position itself as a safe investment destination in the wake of eased sanctions on its vital economic sectors.

Mohammad Ali Emadi, secretary of Iran National Committee at the World Petroleum Council (WPC), said major Iranian companies active in the fields of oil exploration and production will attend the event.

“The congress is an opportunity for presentation of investment and cooperation packages to international majors active in various oil and gas sectors,” he said.

He said Iran will actively attend the congress and will send representatives from various sectors of its oil industry to the congress.

Emadi further said addressing specialized forums by senior Iranian oil industry officials, sharing industrial experiences and achievements with the congress participants and presentation of expert papers will be carried out by Iran’s representatives at the three-day event that is touted as the industry’s Olympic.

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) will run a stand at the 22nd World Petroleum Congress to be held on 9-13 July, 2017.

NIOC stall will cover 280 square meters of ground in the congress.

Furthermore, 23 articles for poster display by the NIOC have been approved in the congress.

WPC Turkish National Committee and the Organizing Team will be communicating all National Committees about the progress and the preparations.
