President Hassan Rouhani attended the nationwide ‘Quds Day’ rallies in Tehran on Friday.

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Friday that the International Quds Day truly sympathizes with world Muslims. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rally, Shamkhani said after triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran many events occurred in the country to turn the issue of Quds Day and Palestine to a secondary subject but to no avail.

Speaking to reporters during a rally on Quds Day in the central city of Qom on Friday, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said the Iranian people would boost national solidarity and unity through taking part in the rallies held across the country.

Iran unveils new home-made assault rifle ‘Zolfaqar’

‘Zolfaqar’ is a new 7.65mm home-made assault rifle with an unloaded weight of 3.5kg that was unveiled in Tehran on Saturday. The new enhanced marksman rifle is an adopted version of Heckler & Koch G36، ACR and FN SCAR assault rifles with a range of 400 to 800(with optics) meters.
