IRNA – The Intelligence Ministry in its statement released on Friday said that 41 people affiliated to the Wahhabi Daesh terrorist group have been arrested.
These people have been arrested in four provinces of Kermanshah, Kurdestan, West Azarbaijan and Tehran before being able to perpetrate any acts of terror, according to the statement.
They have been detained following a range of complicated intelligence operations which were carried out in cooperation with the families of a number of the terrorists who preferred to save their children before they conducts acts against the national security, it said further.
Some documents and identification cards along with equipment used in terrorist operations have also been seized, according to the Intelligence Ministry statement.
The Ministry also praised the Iranian compatriots for all the vigilance and alertness and especially thanked the families who act in time to save their children and show their commitments to preserve the national security.
Two terrorist attacks on Wednesday in the Iranian capital killed 17, leaving 56 others wounded.
