FNA- President Vladimir Putin�s Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev will arrive in Tehran on Wednesday.

Lavrentiev�s visit to Iran will take place at the official invitation of Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari.

During his visit to Tehran, the senior Russian official will also meet Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani in addition to Jaberi Ansari.

During his previous visit to Tehran, Lavrentiev discussed the latest developments in Syria and the process of Astana Meeting with Shamkhani and Jaberi Ansari.

Lavrentiev and Jaberi Ansari are the chairmen of Russian and Iranian delegations to the Astana meeting.

The fifth round of the international meeting on settling the Syrian crisis in Astana is expected to be held on June 12-13.
