IRNA - The United Nations Secretary-General Ant�nio Guterres congratulated President Hassan Rouhani on his re-election as president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The UN spokesman St�phane Dujarric, speaking to reporters on Monday evening in New York, said Guterres in his congrtaulatory message to Rouhani, has also said that he is willing to maintain cooperation with Iran on issues of mutual interest,

Leaders and senior officials of different world countries have so far extended congratulations on President Rouhani�s re-election.

The incumbent President Hassan Rouhani won a landslide victory obtaining over 23.4 million of votes (57%) from more than 41 million ballots cast on May 19 in the 12th presidential election held on Friday.
