IRNA � Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that Iranian people are to demonstrate their unity through massive turnout in the upcoming presidential elections.


Speaking to IRNA, he said people once again will display the unity of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian people are sensitive about their fate and believe that their presence will uphold the country�s status in the world, Qasemi said.

He underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran is an independent country.

'Cultural contribution can bring relations among nations and governments much closer and setting up book exhibitions is a good example of such events,' the foreign ministry spokesman said.

Iran�s priority is to expand cooperation with the nearby countries sharing cultural or langue commonalities, Qasemi added.
