IRNA � The VI Moscow Conference on International Security started on Wednesday with the participation of Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan.

Some 700 participants, namely 25 heads of delegation, chiefs of the general staff of the armed forces, senior commanders and experts from 80 countries attended the two-day event.

Different major regional and global developments including Takfiri and terrorist trends in Syria, Yemen and in the Middle East as well as other developments in the region and the entire world including issues related to the cyber space are among major topics to be reviewed in the conference.

In addition to addressing the conference, Dehqan is to hold separate talks with Defense Minister of Russia Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoygu and his counterparts from other participating countries.

He is also to take part in Iran-Russia-Syria defense ministers� trilateral meeting to discuss the latest conditions in Syria and reinforce convergence in fighting against terrorism.
