Sputnik News- A document on creation of the international coalition on demining the UNESCO cultural heritage sites in Syria is to be discussed at forthcoming Tehran meeting, a diplomatic source told Sputnik.

The guarantor-states ofthe Syrian ceasefire regime are expected todiscuss a document oncreation ofthe international coalition ondemining the UNESCO cultural heritage sites inSyria ata meeting inTehran onApril 18-19, a diplomatic source told Sputnik.
"During the meeting, it is expected tocoordinate 'the proposals oncreation ofthe international coalition ondemining the UNESCO cultural heritage sites inSyria.' The document was proposed bythe guarantor-states and UN representatives duringthe Astana talks onMarch 14-15. The representatives ofDamascus, Turkey and Iran have already made their proposals regarding the document. They will be considered atthe Tehran meeting," the source said.


According tothe source, the document prescribes the development ofa roadmap ondeployment offorces and equipment toSyria atcoordination withthe Syrian government.
"The preparations forpractical demining actions should not take more than30 days followingthe adoption ofthe document," the source said.


In March, Russia, Iran and Turkey initiated a discussion inAstana oninternational assistance ondemining the Syrian city ofPalmyra.

However, the document is also expected tocover other UNESCO cultural heritage sites inSyria, and the sides will welcome any foreign assistance inthis activity, including the financial one, according tothe source.

"The document is expected tobe adopted atthe next next roundof Astana talks onMay 3-4 afterits coordination inTehran," the source added.
