IRNA - First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri congratulated his counterparts in Chtristian countries on the the beginning of the new year, 2017.

In separate messages on Sunday, the senior official conveyed his congratulations to the governments and nations of the Christian countries on the new year as well.

Jahangiri expressed hope that friendship, solidarity and cooperation among world nations will further expand in 2017.

He also hoped that the world would see establishment of peace and stability worldwide and uprooting of terrorism in 2017.
