IRNA � Visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, heading a political delegation, arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow, on Tuesday to participate in a trilateral meeting on the crisis in Syria.


Also present at the meeting will be Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkey's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The top diplomats are expected to examine recent developments in Syria in the wake of liberation of former Daesh stronghold city of Aleppo and to follow up the political process to resolve the crisis in the war-stricken regional nation.

Iran's Ministry of Defense Hossein Dehqan has also left Tehran for Moscow.
