Spokesman: First vice president’s visit to Turkey postponed

IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi announced that an upcoming visit of First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri to Turkey has been postponed.

‘This visit has been postponed by Iran due to heavy workload (of first vice president) and the Turkish side has also been informed of the same,’ Qasemi said.

The foreign ministry spokesman noted that such delays can take place in visits political figures at different levels.

‘The upcoming visit of President Hassan Rouhani to some neighboring countries and the heavy burden on first vice president has made his visit to be considered at a later time,’ Qasemi added.
